Your Alexandra Park 2026 Lib Dem Candidates

Our Priorities for Alexandra Park

1) Your Community

We'll continue Cllr Alessandra's tireless work campaigning to keep our wonderful local library open, and look to reverse the reduction in opening hours imposed by Labour. We'll work closely with Alexandra Palace to ensure community needs are represented around major events, and liaise regularly with the police to prioritise community safety through improved street and park lighting, patrols, and engagement. And we'll continue to keep residents like you updated all year round.

2) Your Streets

We'll continue the work of our local Lib Dem councillors in delivering safer streets, with more pedestrian crossings to add to those our Lib Dem councillors here before us achieved. And we will take a locally-informed and evidence-based approach to tackle the congestion and traffic volumes in our area.

We will tackle speeding to make our roads safer, lead on improving transport for all, without compromising parking and the access needs of residents, and, following our success in securing the upcoming works to add step-free access at Alexandra Palace Station, fight for accessibility improvements across the ward.

3) Your Parks & Green Spaces

We'll work to enhance safety on O R Tambo Rec with new lighting so everyone can use the park after dark, and, having successfully secured the new children's playground last year, press for the renovation of the wooden play area and continue Cllr Alessandra's calls for a free outdoor gym accessible to all.

We'll liaise with Alexandra Palace management to improve the largest park at the heart of our ward, and, with an unsurpassed track record as the green activists who get things done for the local environment, we will aim to ensure that your parks and green spaces are happy, healthy and welcoming places for all to share.

Help turn Haringey orange this May

One of the most important things you can do – apart from voting of course – is allow us to put up one of our orange signs at the front of your property.

You will be familiar with them - the orange diamond boards, similar to an estate agent’s sign, which say ‘Liberal Democrats’ on them. They are by far the best way to show how much support there is locally and remind people to vote.

Fill out your details below to request a board today. We have window posters too!

Putting a poster in your garden or window is a great way to support the Lib Dems at election time. Sign up here to get your poster from the local Lib Dems at the next election.
