Our Priorities for Highgate
1) Fixing Archway Road
Rubbish on the street, shops closing and speeding cars crashing - our main road has been left behind by Haringey Council.
We’ll fix it: pushing TfL to make it safer and ensuring it’s clean, tidy, and thriving again.
2) Crime & Policing
Many residents tell us they’re frustrated by crime and by reports being closed without proper action. It’s vital we work closely with residents and the police to get results, making sure that residents are heard and supported in their community.
3) Woods, Parks & Green Spaces
Our open spaces are so important, giving us the chance to experience nature on our doorsteps.
We will continue to work with communities to protect them, just as we did when someone was caught fly-tipping tonnes of waste into Queen's Wood.

I am Haringey resident of over 20 years and a local councillor here for eight. I am standing for re-election in Highgate so that I can continue being your local champion, representing the residents of Highgate.
It is a responsibility I take very seriously. I’ve worked closely with residents to resolve countless local issues, and I’m proud of the work I’ve done in getting residents thousands of pounds back after being overcharged by the council. With your support, I want to keep delivering for Highgate.

I have been one of your Highgate Lib Dem Councillors for the past four years, fighting everyday on behalf of local residents and the wonderful Highgate community.
The past four years have been a real privilege, and I’m grateful to residents who’ve supported our work to keep Highgate full of greenery, our streets clean, and our local shops thriving.
It’s been an honour to serve as your councillor, and I hope to earn your support again so we can continue building a vibrant Highgate together.
Shamim Muhammad
I have lived in Highgate for over 20 years now, and absolutely love the area and local community. It's simply home to me. But in that time I have come to see many of the issues affecting our community, many of which could be resolved by a change in leadership at Haringey Council, and more elected Lib Dem representatives like my amazing Lib Dem colleagues Scott and Nick.
That's why I am standing for election: to continue the committed, hard-working, positive attitude Lib Dem councillors have always brought to Haringey and make our borough better for all.
Using my practical experience in housing, I will push for improved places for children to play and grow, and better living conditions. And I will work closely with residents, community groups, and local businesses to ensure their voices are heard and to deliver real, lasting results for our community.

One of the most important things you can do – apart from voting of course – is allow us to put up one of our orange signs at the front of your property.
You will be familiar with them - the orange diamond boards, similar to an estate agent’s sign, which say ‘Liberal Democrats’ on them. They are by far the best way to show how much support there is locally and remind people to vote.
