WE WON: £70,000 secured to improve Finsbury Gardens!
Dear Neighbour,
We are writing to share some fantastic news for our local area.
A few months ago, we organised a neighbourhood meeting, ran a local survey, and then wrote a detailed funding proposal, demanding that Haringey Council invest in Finsbury and Nightingale Gardens.
We submitted the bid, but it was your support that got it over the line. Because over 260 residents backed our proposal on the Council's consultation website, it was one of the top three most popular suggestions across Haringey.
That pressure worked: the Council has officially allocated £70,000 to upgrade Finsbury Gardens!
However, while we secured the funding, the Council left out our requested improvements to Nightingale Gardens. We are pushing for Nightingale Gardens to be added to the project and to guarantee genuine resident participation in the design, not just a tick-box consultation.
Vote for change
We are running to be your councillors in Bounds Green to put our community back at the heart of decision-making. When Dan led the campaign to create the Hillbilly Social pub on Myddleton Road, we proved that residents can change their own neighbourhoods for the better and now we’ve done it again - together.
Imagine how much more we could achieve if we were in power.
If you agree it’s time to put local voices at the heart of council decision-making, please lend us your support on May 7th, and use both of your two votes for Lib Dems Dan Jones and Asli Nicolaou.
Best wishes,
Dan Jones & Asli Nicolaou

P.S. Under Labour Haringey Council has been England’s most complained about council for
two years on the bounce and has fallen into millions of pounds of debt.
